EADS North America is leading the UH-72A industry team that is producing, delivering and supporting this advanced rotary-wing aircraft for the U.S. Army's Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) mission.

American Eurocopter is a U.S. market leader, building and supporting helicopters for U.S. government and civilian customers during 30-plus years.

The company is the helicopter's prime contractor,and overall program management for the UH-145 system is being directed by EADS North America Defense, a business unit of the Arlington, Virginia-based EADS North America

UH-72A manufacturing, assembly and delivery of the UH-72A is being performed in the U.S. by American Eurocopter – an EADS North America business unit – at its Columbus, Mississippi facility. American Eurocopter has been building and supporting helicopters for more than three decades, and is a U.S. helicopter market leader - with a large customer base in the homeland security, para-public and law enforcement sectors. Its helicopters currently are operated by the Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency, the U.S. Coast Guard, the FBI, and police departments, sheriff's offices and other security agencies from coast-to-coast.

As a UH-72A industry team member, CAE USA of Tampa, Florida will supply the the helicopter's cockpit procedures trainers, which will become an integral element of pilot training and familiarization for Army crews operating the rotary-wing aircraft.

CAE is a global leader in the design of sophisticated military and commercial training systems, having supplied the defense forces of more than 30 nations with simulation, training, and mission rehearsal solutions. The company has designed the widest range of helicopter simulators in the world, including A/MH-6, MH-60, and MH-47 combat mission simulators for the U.S. Army's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.
